FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What materials do you use?

All Filo Arts wall hangings are crafted from 100% New Zealand wool, known for its softness, durability, and rich color absorption. Each piece is mounted on a solid oak frame, ready to hang straight out of the box.

How long until my wall hanging is ready?

That depends on the design, level of detail, and size of the piece. Items from the shop are ready to hang immediately. Custom pieces may take longer depending on size and complexity. Once we've finalised a design together, I can give you an estimated timeline.

Can I order a custom wall hanging?

Yes! Custom orders are welcome. The process starts with a personal conversation to shape your idea. Based on that, I create sketches and refine the design until it fits perfectly. No obligation — you'll receive a response within 48 hours.

How is the price of a wall hanging determined?

The price depends on the size and complexity of the design, and the hours that go into creating it. The finishing process in particular is very time-intensive, and the cost of high-quality New Zealand wool is relatively high. Based on your wishes, I always provide a no-obligation price estimate first.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! Within Europe, you can order directly through the shop. Want to order from outside Europe? Send me a message via the contact form and we'll work out the options together.

How do I care for my tufted wall hanging?

Tufted wall hangings require minimal care. Gently vacuum or brush off dust occasionally. Keep out of direct sunlight to preserve colors. Spot clean with a damp cloth if needed. Avoid hanging in humid environments.

What is tufting?

Tufting is an artisanal textile technique where yarn is punched through fabric layer by layer using a tufting gun. This builds up rich, three-dimensional textures you can actually feel. The result is a unique piece of textile art.
