Tufting workshop in Utrecht
Looking for a fun outing? Whether it's a mother-daughter day, a girls' day out, a (solo) date, a bachelorette party or a company outing: this tufting workshop in the heart of Utrecht is an activity that's fun for everyone. With personal guidance and in a small group, you'll make your own wall hanging in just a few hours and take it straight home with you! Please note that this workshop is given in Dutch only.
A full day of making
Choose your design
You'll think about a design beforehand. During the workshop, you'll put together your colour combination from a palette of 20 shades of sheep's wool.
Time to tuft
I'll teach you the cut-pile technique and guide you through the whole process. The group is a maximum of 6 people, so there's always enough time for personal guidance.
Tadaa!
You finish your wall hanging, with the option to have it framed (+€30). Et voilà! You've made your own wall hanging, entirely by yourself!

You'll find detailed directions here.
During the workshop you'll work with a tufting gun, which requires focus and a bit of strength. That's why we have a minimum age of 14. Not sure if your almost-14-year-old can handle it? Feel free to get in touch and I'll think it through with you.
The workshop is very manageable, even without experience. Keep in mind that you'll be standing for most of the time and need to apply quite a bit of pressure to the canvas to get a smooth, even wall hanging. After 4 hours you'll feel it in your arms. That's normal, but if you'd like to take it easier, you're welcome to take a break whenever you need to.
Unfortunately there's no lunch included, but I'll make sure there's something tasty with your coffee or tea. So make sure you've eaten beforehand. The studio is located in the centre of Utrecht, with plenty of cosy coffee and lunch spots around the corner, so no hardship to grab a bite first! You're also welcome to bring your own food, there's enough room to eat during the workshop.
For a group of 4 to 6 people, you can book directly through the website. Great for a birthday, bachelorette party, or just an afternoon with friends in Utrecht!

Yes, free of charge, up to a week before the workshop. If you cancel later than that, unfortunately the full amount is due. I understand things can come up, so just let me know as soon as possible if you can't make it.
